Graduated in Computer Engineering in 2001 at the Polytechnic of Milan, he obtained his PhD in Computer Science in 2007.

Since 2011 he is a university researcher at the Computer Science Department of the University of Milan-Bicocca, and therefore an aggregate professor of Human-Machine and Human-Data Interaction.

Since 2016 he is part of the Scientific Direction of the IRCCS Galeazzi Orthopedic Institute of Milan for the definition of predictive models based on machine learning.

He is the author of more than 120 publications relating to medical informatics and systems to support collaboration and decision-making in the hospital sector.
